Instant BG Remover
Remove a portrait background
Separate a person from a scene while keeping the face and useful details in view.

Three steps
- Choose a portrait with the head, shoulders and needed hands fully inside the frame.
- Review the cutout against the checkerboard, then switch to light and dark backdrops to reveal fringing.
- Use restore or erase where needed. Download a transparent PNG or a version with a chosen background.
Where to use it
Portrait cutouts are useful for profile graphics, slides and editorial layouts. Keep the original for comparison and leave room around the hair so a final crop does not remove stray strands. If you need an ID-style layout, verify every official rule with the receiving authority; this editor does not approve documents.
Hair and glasses need care
Fine strands, motion blur and a similarly colored wall are difficult for automatic masks. Transparent glasses may keep background color. If the outline looks clean at thumbnail size, still examine the full PNG on both white and black before use. Manual correction can help large missing areas but cannot recreate invisible hair.
Common questions
Does a studio background guarantee a clean cutout?
No. Even a simple background can bleed into hair or glasses; check the full-size export.
Are photos uploaded to a server?
The current application processes selected images in your browser. It downloads model files on first use; see the privacy policy for details.
