Instant BG Remover

Make a transparent image background

Remove the surrounding scene and keep the subject as a reusable cutout.

The cutout comes from the same source photo. Inspect the actual exported PNG against several colors before using it.

Make your transparent PNG

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo. The file is decoded on your device.
  2. Wait for automatic background removal, then inspect the checkerboard around hair, hands and gaps.
  3. Use erase or restore if necessary. Download PNG to retain transparent pixels.

Where it helps

Transparent cutouts are useful when placing a portrait into a presentation, arranging a product on several color backgrounds, or combining an object with other artwork. Save the master cutout as PNG before making versions with solid colors.

Check before you use it

A checkerboard indicates transparency in the editor; it is not part of the exported image. Hair, clear glass and subjects close in color to their surroundings may need manual correction. Open the downloaded file against both dark and light backgrounds: a pale fringe that disappears on white can still show on a dark design.

Common questions

Will JPG preserve transparency?

No. JPG has no alpha channel. Choose PNG for a transparent file, or use an opaque background when exporting JPG.

Does the downloaded PNG keep my original dimensions?

The editor exports at the selected original dimensions unless you intentionally crop or resize the image. Inspect the download before publishing.
